Why This Site Exists
South Carolina provides several public routes to custody and release information, but no single tool covers every Edgefield facility. The Sheriff's Office documents the county jail event. SCDC maintains separate current and released-person searches for state prisoners. SCDPPPS reports community supervision, while BOP handles federal custody. We organize those official routes, explain their limits, and show how to request a record when no public search supplies the answer.
